[COLLABORATION]

Rob McCredie and Holly Durant began collaborating in 2011 in London, recognising a shared interest in integrating dance with design elements.

The collaboration focused on using lo-fi materials to explore an expanded sense of choreographic possibilities. Design elements included costumes and set installations designed to extend, distort, disguise, or obliterate the body from view. Exploration played on different materials' responsiveness to movement, allowing them to amplify physical actions, even while concealing the performer.

In 2013, Rob and Holly undertook a development together in Sydney, supported by residencies through Ausdance and Brand X, with additional support through a Pozible campaign to fund the design budget. A showing was presented at Monster Mouse Studios in Marrickville, Sydney.

The development of this practice later led to their collaboration on Body and Environment for Fling Physical Theatre.
